Dr Lo Lectures At The Cowboy Way Advanced Arthroscopy Course

Dr Lo recently served a guest lecturer and instructor at the annual Cowboy Way Advanced Arthroscopy Course in San Antonio, TX held on Oct 25, and 26, 2012. This course held annually in San Antonio, TX gathered approximately 120 orthopaedic surgeon from North America. Dr Lo lectured on the Congruent Arc Latarjet Reconstruction and Arthroscopic Suprascapular Nerve Release.

The Cowboy Companion: A Trail Guide For The Arthroscopic Shoulder published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins was recently launch at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. This comprehensive shoulder arthroscopy text, co-authored by Drs Stephen Burkhart, Ian Lo, Paul Brady and Patrick Denard garnered early praise for its comprehensiveness, video animations, and accompanying DVDs. The iPad app was also received well with numbers equaling standard text sales.

Dr Lo presents at the Arthroscopy Association Annual Specialty Day

Dr Lo recently presented his work entitled “Identifying Rotator Cuff Tear Patterns And Advanced Releases” at the Arthroscopy Association Annual Specialty Day on Feb 11, 2012, in San Francisco, CA. This presentation highlighted the often confusing procedure of identifying tear patterns during rotator cuff repair and the technique of interval slides for advancing and mobilizing massive tears of the rotator cuff.

This advanced lecture and cadaver shoulder lab is headlined by Dr Lo’s former fellowship director Dr Stephen Burkhart and gathers hundreds of orthopaedic surgeons from North America. Dr Lo will be speaking on Arthroscopic Suprascapular Nerve Release and Bone Loss in Instability: The Congruent Latarjet Technique.

This annual members only meeting gathers the top shoulder and elbow surgeons from around the world to disclose their most recent scientific findings. Dr Lo will be presenting his results on “Partial Thickness Rotator Cuff Tears: Observe or Operate”.

He will be debating Dr Anthony Romeo (Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL) on the arthroscopic approaches to subscapularis tendon repair. This annual meeting is attended by surgeons from around the world and highlights the most recent advances in arthroscopic surgery.
